Thinking about the way that we came into this creation
Erasing errors that will promise me some true salvation
Which is the one that gives me peace?
The rules I follow I don’t necessarily agree with
But if I do will the sacrifice give eternal bliss?
This peg in my soul it must be filled
I sure could use some saving
I need a religion (to set me free)
I need a religion (in spite of me)
I need a religion (to show it’s head)
I need a religion (before I’m dead)
I’m having trouble figuring out who is the true messiah
Don’t feel that I’m the one that should be the true provider
Why is that every single one provides me warmth
My children tell me there are questions that need to be solved
A part of childhood I kinda feel that they are being robbed
Who is the one that is supposed to be right?
The footprints found in the sand
Am I carried or am I dragged?
I need a religion (what’s right what’s wrong)
I need a religion (I’ll play along)
I need a religion (which one am I)
I need a religion (before I die)
